Winterfest is just around the corner so mark your calendars for Friday, December 4th, 2009 when the communities of Pleasant Ridge and Kennedy Heights will be hosting this family friendly event to kick off the holiday season. This is the sixth year of the Winterfest Festival which has become an annual tradition for many residents in the area. This years festival is packed full of free events for the entire family. A free shuttle will be running between the Pleasant Ridge Community Center and the Kennedy Heights Arts center from 6:30-11:00pm.

6pm-Tree Lighting at Pleasant Ridge Community Center
6-8pm-Holiday games and crafts at the Pleasant Ridge Community Center
ballet tech cincinnati
7:00pm-7:45pm
Holiday Dance Along-Performance featuring dancers from the ballet tech cincinnati dance school, 2Krucial Hip Hop Crew and their after school programs. The show will be fun for people of all ages, and especially families with children
Kennedy Heights Arts Center
8pm-Tree Lighting Kennedy Heights Arts Center
8:15pm-8:45pm- The Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church Choir will perform under the tent
8:30pm-10:30pm- Illusionist and Magician, John Lois will perform in the galleries
9:00pm-11pm -"Those Guys" band will perform under the tent
8pm-11pm- Holiday Treasures Art Exhibition in the galleries
8pm-11pm -Holiday crafts and art activities in the art room- lower level
8pm-11pm- Model Train display under the Gazebo

Winter Break Art Camp
Sculpture Extravaganza!
December 28, 9:30AM - 2:30PM
Looking for fun things for the kids to do over Winter Break? Sign them up for our one-day art camp on December 28 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. We will be offering two groups: a camp for children ages 5-7 and one for 8-12 year olds.
Enjoy a full day of sketching, brainstorming, painting,and sculpting. Create a sculpture as unique as you are. Please bring three items that are important or symbolize importance to you and your identify. You will be using these items in your sculptures.
Cost is $20. Scholarships available. Call 631-4278 to register with a credit card.
