The 24th annual Progressive Dinner and Silent Auction was held on Saturday September 15th, and was enjoyed by Kennedy Heights residents and guests.

More than 125 folks from throughout the neighborhood participated in the event, which began with appetizers at the Margaret Geier Apartments on Montgomery Rd. The Geier Resident Council graciously hosted this part of the evening. More than a dozen host families then served dinner, with menus ranging from "nothing fancy" to gourmet.

The evening was capped off at the Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church on Kennedy Ave., where the ticket holders reconvened to enjoy homemade desserts that were donated by a host of Kennedy Heights residents. This final segment of the evening included a silent auction, which along with the ticket sales for the event, raised funds for the Kennedy Heights Community Council.

Natalie Boyer, chair of the event and Vice President for Administration on the Community Council said, "Thanks to the many volunteers who gave their time and energy, this year's Progressive Dinner was one of the best ever!" Community Council President Ernie Barbeau summed things up by saying, "This year's Progressive Dinner was wonderful, and we are especially looking forward to the 25th anniversary event".
