2023 LANDSCAPE
AWARD WINNER

Teri Tatum

5835 Pointer Lane

Teri has always considered her flowers to be spiritual friends, and she can observe them from every window in her house. She had recently been dealing with a great deal of grief, and when her letter arrived informing her that she was a landscape award winner, she knew that her flowers had come through for her to bring her comfort. Teri has incorporated personal touches throughout her garden. Her hostas are named after the friends who gave them to her. One hosta, “Aunt Mary,” was given to her by her aunt who lived to be 107. Whimsical artwork, including rocks that Teri painted as animals and flowers, are tucked among pots of colorful coleus and other annuals. The majestic oak tree in the backyard is a shelter for wildlife that Teri enjoys while sitting in the peace and serenity of its shade.
