New Exhibit at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center

New works by diverse artists explore vulnerability and rest as an act of resistance in this exhibition, part of the 6th annual Voices of Freedom in partnership with Juneteenth Cincinnati.

In a world that often demands our resilience before our rest, We’re All Healing invites vulnerability as an act of resistance. Where there is transparency, there is healing; where there is healing, we can continue to blossom.

This exhibition is an authentic conversation through visual storytelling, examining the harmful ideologies surrounding mental health in Black and marginalized communities. It holds space for what is often considered taboo, softened, hidden, or dismissed. We recognize that within our communities, the language for pain has not always been taught, yet the expectation to pack it away persists as our collection of unspoken pain continues to grow.

Kennedy Heights & Pleasant Ridge Nature Advocates - A Volunteer Opportunity

Join members of Friends of Kennedy Heights Park, Kennedy Heights Community Council, Friends of French Park, and Pleasant Ridge Community Council as we learn about and improve Kennedy Heights Park and French Park.

Our focus will be more on increasing our understanding of all the plants and animals that live in our parks rather than focusing on a few invasive plants that need to be removed (we will still remove them). Everything we learn will be usable whenever you spend time outdoors, whether it’s working in your yard, choosing what plants to put in your yard, just enjoying the outdoors, or you’re out hiking and you encounter a plant you’ve never seen before. We will start learning how and increase our ability to identify everything we encounter, regardless of the season.
