Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Senior Yard Cleanup Blitz Day

The Kennedy Heights Development Corporation has organized a Senior Yard Cleanup Blitz Day to help a few of our older residents get their yards ready for the season, and we could really use your help!

On Sunday, October 18th, volunteer crews will be working at three homes in the neighborhood: one on Iris Avenue, one on Davenant Avenue, and one on McHugh Place. We’ll get started at 9:00 am and wrap up by 3:00 pm, or earlier if we finish ahead of schedule. Whether you can stay for the whole day or just lend a hand for an hour or two, every bit of help makes a difference.

What to Bring: Please bring gloves and wear long sleeves to protect your skin. If you have yard tools at home, like a leaf blower, hedge trimmers, rake, pruning shears, wheelbarrow, or yard waste bags, we’d love for you to bring those along too.

How to Sign Up: Use the links below to sign up for the street that works best for you. Once you sign up, you’ll receive an email with the exact address along with the name and phone number of your KHDC team captain, so you’ll know exactly who to reach out to with any questions.

A Big Thank You: This blitz came together on short notice, and it wouldn’t be happening without the hard work of Pat MacVeigh, Abby Burton, Tinisi Cooper, and Mary Ray, who spearheaded and organized the day. We’re so grateful for their dedication to making sure our neighbors are cared for.

Kennedy Heights has always been a place where neighbors show up for one another. We hope to see you out there!
