Kennedy Heights
Legacy Fund

About The Fund

The Kennedy Heights Legacy Fund was created to honor the people who helped shape this neighborhood, the advocates, residents, and community builders whose commitment to inclusive growth, fair housing, and lasting investment made Kennedy Heights what it is today.

Managed by the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, the fund provides KHDC with the flexible capital needed to keep critical work moving forward. Funds are used to bridge timing gaps between grant awards and reimbursement, allowing KHDC to fully leverage reimbursement-based grants, respond to new redevelopment opportunities, preserve key staff positions, cover short-term property costs, and support pre-development expenses that are essential to launching projects. Simply put, this fund helps turn plans into action.

Below are the individuals being celebrated through donations to the fund.

About KHDC

The 2026 KHDC Board is made up of seven Kennedy Heights residents who are passionate about thoughtful, community-driven growth, and committed to ensuring development aligns with the vision and values identified by neighbors in the 2022 Kennedy Heights Neighborhood Plan.

The KHDC team is always working behind the scenes on projects and opportunities that move Kennedy Heights forward. Stay in the loop through our quarterly mailed newsletter or visit our online blog to stay informed and learn about what’s happening in our neighborhood.

The Kennedy Heights Home Repair Program provides free, small-scale home repairs and AARP HomeFit modifications to help residents safely age in place. Serving Kennedy Heights residents who are 50 or older, have a disability, or are a veteran with demonstrated financial need, the program is made possible through the support of Guardian Savings Bank, Cincinnati's HomeBase Program, and a 2026 AARP mini grant. For needs beyond the program's scope, KHDC connects residents with trusted local partners to ensure no one falls through the cracks.
