KHCC Awarded NSP Grant from Invest in Neighborhoods

The Kennedy Heights Community Council (KHCC) kicked off 2026 with exciting news. We were awarded a $9,666 Neighborhood Support Program (NSP) Grant through Invest in Neighborhoods. Our Treasurer, Patrick McVeigh, presented our application earlier this year, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue investing in our neighborhood.

A portion of these funds, $4,000, will go directly toward printing and mailing the Kennedy Heights newsletter. While the total annual cost exceeds that amount, this is the maximum allocation allowed for newsletter expenses under NSP guidelines. These funds play an important role in helping us keep residents informed, connected, and engaged throughout the year.

The remaining $5,996 will support community events and neighborhood engagement efforts. If you joined us for last year’s Fall Harvest Festival, you have already seen this funding in action. We are excited to bring that event back again this year, along with other opportunities to gather and connect as a community.

The NSP Grant is designed to support projects led by community councils that create meaningful, positive impact. These initiatives often focus on strengthening neighborhood leadership, improving communication, supporting local development, and creating educational or problem-solving programs that benefit residents.

Across Cincinnati, these grants help bring ideas to life. This includes community events, newsletters, beautification efforts, youth programming, and leadership development opportunities. The goal is to enhance quality of life and foster stronger, more connected communities.

We are incredibly thankful for organizations like Invest in Neighborhoods and the support of the Cincinnati City Council for making this work possible. Their investment allows us to continue building momentum here in Kennedy Heights.

We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event this year. Be sure to check out our events calendar to see what is coming up and find ways to get involved.
