2025 LANDSCAPE
AWARD WINNER

Christina Barkley

This is the third win for Christina, so she is now in the Kennedy Heights Landscape Hall of Fame. She attributes her success to how much she enjoys working in the garden. She’s always expanding and improving the garden when she can. For example, the removal of a tree opened an opportunity to install another garden. A sunny area by the garage has become an attractive home for perennial divisions from friends.

What ties the gardens together and keeps them looking their best is simple, according to Christina: tidy edging around each bed and a layer of mulch. When asked what her favorite plant is, Christina replied, “Anything that the deer don’t like!” No doubt many Kennedy Heights gardeners can relate to that.
